On Thursday, July 21, the Los Angeles Rams unveiled their Super Bowl LVI ring with players, coaches and staff at a special ceremony in Los Angeles. The ring symbolizes the Rams’ historic 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium to culminate the first season fans were able to follow the team at Rams House.

The design of the ring was a collaborative effort between Rams players, team management and Los Angeles-based jewelry house Jason of Beverly Hills. Team members including Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller assisted with the design.

“To be able to not only win the Super Bowl, but to do it in the house that Mr. Kroenke built is truly a dream come true,” said LA Rams Vice President of Football and Business Affairs Tony Pastors. “We are grateful to Jason and his team for their creativity and passion to deliver a championship ring that reflects our team and their historic season, the unique stadium where it happened and the city that inspired it all. »

Given the significance of SoFi Stadium to the Rams and the story of the entire 2021 NFL season, the shape of the Super Bowl LVI ring mimics the stadium’s architectural and design elements. Between the top of the hoop and the body are columns that mirror the columns that hold up the roof of SoFi Stadium’s iconic canopy. This unique design allows a line of sight to the stadium cup, which is hidden inside the ring. The .23 carat diamonds on the pillars represent the 23 points scored in the Super Bowl.

Twisting Jason Beverly Hills’ signature removable top reveals the SoFi Stadium Cup, complete with an Infinity Display. At the bottom of the retractable top is a view of SoFi Stadium’s translucent ETFE roof, surrounded by a piece of the Super Bowl LVI game ball. The stadium’s field is made up of the trademark green material, which consists of remnants of the actual turf that was played on during the 2020 and 2021 seasons, including Super Bowl LVI.

Like SoFi Stadium, the Super Bowl LVI ring is unprecedented, boasting the most carats of diamonds in championship ring history. In total, the ring has approximately 20 carats of white diamonds set in white and yellow gold. The 20-carats celebrate the official opening of SoFi Stadium in 2020. The ring features a 1.12-carat round diamond representing January 12th, which honors three important dates in Rams history: On January 12, 2016, the Rams were confirmed to return to Los Angeles; On January 12, 2017, the Rams hired Sean McVay as head coach; and on January 12, 2019, the Rams defeated the Dallas Cowboys 30–22 for their first playoff win since returning to Los Angeles.

On the face of the ring is the Vince Lombardi Trophy, featuring a single marquise stone and a 0.12 carat round diamond trophy base representing 12 regular season wins. The palm trees on either side of the Trophy celebrate Los Angeles and are comprised of 0.26 carats of diamonds representing the franchise’s 26 total postseason victories. The central Rams LA logo features custom cut blue and yellow sapphires.

“Most people don’t understand how much we dive into the design process. We are passionate about understanding the team, the season and the city. We spent a whole day at SoFi Stadium. The first thing I said was: “What can you get me from the game? The field? Ball? What else?” I didn’t just want it to be historic in design, but also have physical elements of the event. All of that adds value and authenticity, creating unique keepsakes,” said Jason Arasheben, CEO of Jason in Beverly Hills.

The bottom of the ring features all final scores for all playoff games in the 2021 season, including Super Bowl LVI.

One side of the ring features the player’s name with a diamond-encrusted number. The name is featured on a plate that mimics the shape of the Infinity Screen. There are two stars to pay homage to the franchise’s two Super Bowl championships, as well as Los Angeles, known as the City of Stars.

On the other side of the ring is the Super Bowl LVI final score of 23-20, along with the NFL Shield and Super Bowl LVI logo. “Champions of the World” is depicted on a plate that replicates the shape of the Infinity Screen.

The two stones on each side of the ring, for a total of four stones, represent the four teams the Rams defeated in the 2021 postseason to win Super Bowl LVI.

Versions of the Super Bowl LVI ring and other ring-inspired products will be available for fans to purchase.
