Schools close after Brentwood Park shooting report in Victorville – VVNG.com

VICTORVILLE, California (VVNG.com) – Several schools in Victorville closed after reports of a shooting in Brentwood Park in Victorville.

It happened around 12:28 a.m., April 14, 2022, at block 13900 Hook Blvd.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Trisha Blake told VVNG that the teacher was outside when she saw someone shooting from a black car in the neighborhood and the vehicle sped away.

The shooting led to closures at Brentwood Elementary School and Hook Jr. High School.

Victorville PD posted the following message on its Facebook page:

“Citing the presence of police in the Brentwood Elementary / Hook area. There were reports of gunfire from the vehicle. Schools were closed. Good job schools for your quick response in protecting your students. We don’t believe schools were the target. We do not know that there were any firearms victims. “

The spokeswoman said that at this moment, they do not believe that the school was the target and that no one, as far as they know, was hit by the shooting.
