Students at the George Sanchez Collaborative Community School are heard screaming and crying when a white Ford Mustang hit the side of a co-driver in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Wednesday, February 23rd.
“Someone help Lizzie,” one student shouts as the children try to get off the school bus.
The driver of the Mustang, identified as 49-year-old Mario Perez, allegedly raced a blue Mustang at more than 100 miles per hour before the crash, a subsidiary of ABC KOAT mentionted.
Pereth suffered a fracture of the femur and was charged with two counts of major bodily injury by a vehicle. Witnesses told KOAT that the other vehicle was speeding away after the collision. There are no reports of the driver being arrested.
Of the 23 students aboard the ship, seven were taken to hospital. Two were seriously injured in the legs and another had a pelvic fracture, KOAT reported.
“As a parent, this would be my worst nightmare if your child had a bus accident,” Jennifer Eskerra, a local resident, told KOAT.
