San Jose, CA (KGO)-In South Bay, it takes days for a teenage artist, known for his celebrity paintings, to release his first book.

ABC7 news reporter Ruth Pena met Tyler Gordon on Sunday, who also painted his latest masterpiece.

Tyler Gordon welcomed us to his San Jose home, where almost every wall space is covered with his paintings. This is what he calls his happy place.

Ruth Pena: “Which is your latest?”

Tyler Gordon: “This is just painted here. It’s from E-40.”

Tyler’s passion for painting began five years ago when God said he spoke to him.

“He said,’Mom’s god is in my room,’ and I said,’Don’t go to the light. Just go back to bed.’ Tyler Gordon’s mother, Nicole Kindle. “He said no mom said I would be a painter and change the world.”

At the age of 15, Tyler was featured in several galleries, including his paintings. Beverly Center in Los Angeles..

Currently, he has his latest achievement, the first book entitled “We Can: Portraits of Power”.

“It’s number one on Amazon and hasn’t come out yet. It really surprises me,” Gordon said.

Tyler is partially deaf and stuttering. Every page of his book has icons of the people who influenced him: politics, art, sports and entertainment.

“Everyone in this book struggled and overcame those struggles. They were children like us and continued to follow their passion,” Gordon said.

While preparing for the book tour, Gordon still has many dreams to achieve, such as “I promised my mother to buy a house next year. It will be a big day for me.” ing.

Ruth Pena: “How many paintings do I need to sell to buy her a house?”

Tyler Gordon: “I don’t know, I’ll get there.”

And just like that, Tyler is closer to buying a house for his mom with more wall space for his paintings, as he inspires one of the other children’s works of art at a time. It is one picture.
