San Francisco Depicted as Drug-Riddled as Kids Wade Through Bus Stop Crowd

San Francisco has a new district attorney who promises to clean up the city’s drug use and crime — a problem epitomized in a new viral video that’s troubling.
Check out this clip filmed and posted this week by a SF resident Ricci Wynne … who filmed himself getting off at a bus stop near downtown SF – around Mission St. and 8th St. – while a ton of school kids were also disembarking at the same time.
The reason many people found this disturbing… a huge crowd had formed at this particular stop, most of whom have been labeled as alleged drug users or homeless. Wynne took the scene with her… and it’s not pretty. You can see some kids wading in what some might describe as a dangerous area. And yet they act like it’s normal.
Meanwhile, Wynne sends happy messages to the kids…telling them to be safe and using juxtapositions to show what kind of environment they have to navigate.
He later did an interview with a local CBS news station to explain why he recorded this…saying he felt anger that local leaders had let things get this bad.
Speaking of these leaders, the recently appointed DA Chesa Boudin has now been replaced by a woman named Brooke Jenkins … who promoted himself as anti-crime and who vowed at his launch event last week to end the open-air drug market with ferocity.
In his speech, he seemed to address this very incident, saying that the children of the city should not have to endure this outside. So it seems that the new philosophy is changing.
San Francisco is just one of several recent major cities that have seen a major wave of homelessness and crime…Los Angeles has experienced similar trends in recent years.
