A San Diego man was taken into custody on Thursday after allegedly stealing a moored yacht and walking happily before colliding with other boats in Orange County, authorities said.

According to Carrie Braun, her spokeswoman Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities received reports of the stolen yacht around 9:20 p.m. Because it was being serviced, the keys were left on the boat, Brown said, and were stolen when the repairman was removed.

Siam reportedly crashed the yacht into several other boats in Newport Harbor, damaging at least two while aboard the jet. The yacht eventually hit the sea wall next to Lido Island Bridge, Braun said.

One person was injured in one of the wrecked boats, Braun said.

Debora Dolly, who was inside one of the crashed boats, told CBS2 that the force of the collision made part of her boat fall on her head. But he told the station that he was not seriously injured.

No further injuries were reported. The extent of the damage caused by the theft was not immediately known.
