San Diego County’s COVID Hospitalizations Remain at 162

The number of COVID-19 patients in San Diego County hospitals remained at 162 on Saturday, according to the latest state figures.

The number of these patients in the intensive care unit was reduced by seven to 32. The available ICU beds were reduced by 18 to 233.

The latest data comes a day after San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reported 252 new COVID-19 infections and five additional virus-related deaths, bringing the county’s cumulative total to 748,896 infections and 5,155 deaths since the pandemic began.

The HHSA does not report COVID data on weekends.
