SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A change of government will come to the people of San Diego County.
From May 22, the city will begin receiving renewable energy to its cash reader from Community Power in San Diego, and many residents will be automatically enrolled.
Scott Sherman, a former city council member, joined KUSI’s Jason Austell on “Good Morning San Diego” to discuss details about San Diego Community Power.
“For me, it’s not an option to say you register automatically,” Sherman said.
SDCP obtains energy by purchasing renewable energy and supplying it to the electricity grid.
The agency is a non-profit energy provider that reinvests revenue in San Diego communities.
