Sacramento County teacher faces child sexual abuse charges

A Sacramento County high school teacher is accused of giving students alcohol, marijuana, pornography and sex toys, authorities said. Glenn Alejandrino, 49, was arrested Tuesday, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said. Authorities believe the incidents took place at Alejandrino’s home with the consent and knowledge of the victim’s parents. Alejandrino had been a teacher in the San Juan Unified School District in Sacramento County since 1996, authorities said. He worked at Arden Middle School, where he taught eighth-grade leadership and government. The San Juan Unified School District released the following statement Wednesday.”Today, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office released a statement regarding the arrest of Arden Middle School teacher Glenn Alejandrino. While we are unable to provide additional details regarding this ongoing investigation, we can confirm that the teacher was on leave for most of the 2021-22 school year. Alejandrino faces multiple charges including lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14, lewd act with a child over 10 years of age, communicating with a minor with intent to sexually assault, furnishing marijuana to a minor under 14 and contributing to delinquency of a minor and the abuse of a child under 18 years of age. Alejandrino posted $350,000 bail and appeared in court Wednesday. Glenn Alejandrino, 49, was arrested Tuesday, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said. Authorities believe the incidents took place at Alejandrino’s home with the consent and knowledge of the victim’s parents.

Alejandrino had been a teacher in the San Juan Unified School District in Sacramento County since 1996, authorities said. She worked at Arden Middle School, where she taught eighth grade leadership and government.

“There are multiple victims from 2019 to 2021,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement Wednesday.

The San Juan Unified School District released the following statement Wednesday.

“Today, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement regarding the arrest of Arden Middle School teacher Glenn Alejandrino. While we cannot provide additional details regarding this ongoing investigation, we can confirm that the teacher was on leave for most of the 2021-2022 school year.
