Lorenzo Powell continues to make a name for himself in the amateur ranks, but has his sights set on making it to the pro league. With about 40 amateur fights under his belt, his trainer said he has done things that normally cannot be accomplished after 100 fights, including placing first at the USA Boxing Summer Festival in Wichita, Kansas earlier this month. He followed up his wins in Kansas with a golden performance at the California Golden Gloves in Fresno, California. His next stop takes him to the Golden Gloves Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma next month. This is now his second time appearing on My58 Superstars, the first time being over 3 years ago when he was still in high school. See more of Powell’s journey in the video player above.
