Rockstar Games Focusing on GTA 6 After GTA Trilogy Mishap, Report Says

Development for Grand Theft Auto 6 could get more resources thanks to last year’s issues Grand Theft Auto Trilogyaccording to a report on Tuesday kotaku.

Rockstar Games was reportedly planning to relaunch Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption, two of its best-selling and critically acclaimed titles. However, things changed sometime after the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, including remasters of GTA 3, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas. Due to the poor performance of the GTA trilogy, Rockstar has reportedly changed gears and shelved the remakes while focusing on GTA 6.

In February, Rockstar confirms that GTA 6 is in development, which was the company’s first mention of the game. GTA V, released in 2013, is a bestseller for Rockstar more than 155 million copies and helped introduced Grand Theft Auto Onlinewhich together have brought in billions of dollars.

GTA trilogy was a Surprise release last year from Rockstar and gave the older games from the PS2 era a high-definition look. When it started, players came across it a large number of problems, including unpleasant-looking graphics and a plethora of glitches. Rockstar apologized for the state of the game and released several patches including a major update in February that fixed most of the issues.
