Rivian vehicles are certified by three agencies. This is the last hurdle that will allow electric vehicle manufacturers to sell and deliver R1T pickup trucks and R1S SUVs in all 50 states of the United States.

Rivian emailed TechCrunch to confirm that the vehicle was fully certified by the Department of Road Safety, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the California Air Resources Department. Bloomberg also reported Rivian is approved by the regulatory agency for delivering vehicles to customers.

Rivian has a direct sales model that allows customers to order vehicles online.
