Reward increased for information on Fresno house fire that killed 7-year-old boy

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The Fresno Police Department is asking for the public’s help with information about a house fire that killed a seven-year-old boy.

On Friday, Fresno Police Chief Paco Balderrama announced Valley Crime Stoppers is increasing the reward to $10,000. An anonymous donor gave $2,500, bringing the total reward to $12,500.

On July 6, Isaac Vallejo died in a house fire at N. College and McKenzie. A 13-year-old broke his leg jumping from a second-story window and was hospitalized.

Shortly after the fire, police announced that they had launched an arson investigation. Investigators had determined that some kind of accelerant was used on the front and back doors of the home.

Just days before the fatal fire, on June 25, officers responded to a shooting at the same home. No arrests have been made in this incident.
