Reported collision of 2 vehicles with great damage in Cajon Pass on Thursday night – VVNG.com

Cajon Pass, San Bernardino, California (VVNG.com) – A traffic collision between two vehicles, in which both vehicles suffered great damage, was reported late Thursday night at the Cajon pass.

Around 11:21 p.m., 911 operators received a call stating that the black SUV was driving in the wrong direction on Highway 15.

According to CHP records, the SUV was heading south in a northerly direction when the collision occurred south of Cleghorn.

As a result of the collision, one vehicle overturned and stopped approximately 200 feet west of the highway, and another vehicle with major damage remained on the highway facing in the wrong direction, according to records.

Witnesses said the occupants of the overturned SUV were conscious and shouting, and one passenger complained of a possible arm fracture or arm injury as they tried to get out of the vehicle.

San Bernardino County firefighters arrived on the scene and determined that the passengers of both vehicles suffered only minor injuries.

A tow truck was requested to remove both vehicles from the road.

San Bernardino County firefighters reported that two people with minor injuries were transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

Part of N. Cajon Street was closed because a tow truck removed the vehicle.
