Rear-Ender Sets Off Chain-Reaction Crashes on Westbound I-8 Near I-805


A crash on westbound Interstate 8 in Mission Valley slowed traffic Saturday and sent one driver to the hospital.
The California Highway Patrolaccording to OnScene.TV, reported three separate collisions around 10:30 a.m. east of the Interstate 805 interchange.
One vehicle rear-ended another and four other vehicles collided with each other. The cars involved included a Toyota Camry that hit a Honda Civic, a Volkswagen Tiguan and a Nissan Armada.
Medics treated a female driver who appeared alert as she was placed in an ambulance.
Traffic was backed up but moving while the CHP was on scene.
