Welcome to the Long Beach Varsity Report.
After St. John Bosco (7-1, 2-1) defeated Orange Luzaran 49-25 on Friday night and recorded four touchdowns, Ration Luke’s running back senior told Prestelgram, DI. Communicated the decision on where to play college. Soccer is just around the corner. Luke, a four-star new employee, is not committed, but has been offered by schools in Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio, UCLA, USC, and more. Luke said his mother no longer needed to work because his motive was to reach the NFL.
Long Beach Poly (5-3, 3-0) have now won four games in a row after beating Compton 42-0 on Friday night. Undoubtedly, Jack Rabbit will lead the Moore League to the playoffs in the Southern CIF section. But the problem remains. Poly will be in Division 3 or Division 4 in the playoffs … in any case This will set up Poly’s powerful running game, led by Junior Devin Samples, to win the CIF-SS Championship.
Millican (4-4, 3-1) and Lakewood (3-5, 3-1) have inside tracks at the Moore League’s second and third auto playoff spots. Millican tends to be in Division 6 Romeo Peram believes Rams has what he needs to win the CIF-SS Championship. Lakewood, on the other hand, tends to be 14 division teams. But junior quarterback Braden Daunen said his team was excited to extend the season for their hard-working senior class.
