‘Raven’s Home’ returns to Disney Channel with season 5 reboot of ‘That’s So Raven’

NEW YORK – “Raven’s Home” is back for its 5th season on the Disney Channel and you may notice that it may look like a reboot of “That’s So Raven”.

Raven Baxter and Booker’s son return to San Francisco to help care for their dad, Victor Booker, after a mild heart attack.

Booker’s twin Nia is back in Chicago with much of the original “Raven’s Home” cast.

“We have a very different cast and it also enlightens our writers and our crew who are all in there, but it ‘s fun to be able to come back,” said Raven-Symoné.

Now, there is a new list of friends and family, along with some of “That’s So Raven” favorites, such as Rondell Sheridan as Raven’s father.

“Coming back and working with Ray (Raven), we have so much shorthand that I sometimes forget about it until it happens and then it’s like Jordan and Scottie Pippen,” Sheridan said.

In Season 5, Raven discovers herself caring for her father, raising her young cousin, and trying to settle into life in her old town.

“We still have that Raven’s Home energy,” said Issac Ryan Brown, Booker. “We are always for family, for love, for protecting each other, but you know with a little nostalgia. We’re back in San Francisco and we have some new characters that will help us elevate.”

Of course, Raven and Booker continue to have eyes for the future! As the new kid in Raven’s old high school, Booker has to keep his visions a secret from a new group of friends.

Do not miss the premiere of season 5 of “Raven’s Home” on Friday, March 11 on the Disney Channel.
