“The opening of SoFi Stadium on Sunday Night Football has brought the country’s attention to Inglewood,” said Molly Higgins, Rams’ Vice President of Community. “We wanted to make sure we celebrated Inglewood throughout the week.”
Rampage’s cheerleader and team mascot Rampage greeted Inglewood students with special hospitality on Wednesday.
“Our students received T-shirts from the local Rams,” said Saba Araya, principal of the City Honors International Prep School. “And they were fine, excited and back in class with a passion for learning.”
The Rams organization distributes approximately 10,000 “Ram’s House” T-shirts to all 19 Inglewood Unified Schools. They want their students, teachers and staff to feel supported.
“We are, as you know, the Inglewood team,” Higgins said. “And ensuring that we celebrate these children, these teachers is important to us. Everything they have experienced through the pandemic and continues as it is today.”
“Our kids have been out of the pandemic for the past 18 months or so,” said the Sylvia branch, principal of Closure Junior High School. “And now we are under direct guidance and we have only the love and energy that was here today. Children, we are really grateful. We were just grateful.”
In addition to the T-shirt, Rams provided Inglewood Unified with some tickets to distribute to teachers and staff for this week’s home opener.
