Protesters Flood Hotel for Donald Trump’s First D.C. Speech Since Jan. 6

Donald Trump‘s is back in DC for his first public speaking engagements there since January 6, 2021 — and there’s a lot of unhappy people… many of whom were waiting to greet him at the door.
The ex-Prez appeared Tuesday at the Marriot Marquis Hotel as the keynote speaker at the America First Policy Institute Summit… where he said more of the same from his recent speeches — repeating falsehoods about “stealing” the election and teasing a run in 2024.

What was happening just outside was much more interesting though… quite a number of protesters had infiltrated the building and lined several floors inside the hotel, most of them shouting and throwing flyers to express their displeasure at DT’s presence.
What they apparently chanted… “No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA” – and the slips of paper they threw read “INICT TRUMP PROTECT DEMOCRACY”.

It’s unclear if any of these people actually breached the conference room where Trump was speaking, but if not, you have to imagine they were a little disruptive. Outside, it was just as rowdy as even more protesters lined the streets… on both sides of the Trump line.
It just turns out that the man is still as divisive as ever – and his appearance in our country’s capital will certainly stir people up in one way or another. And it’s probably just getting started.
