A man shot another man in the arm Thursday night in Logan Heights in a dispute between neighbors, according to San Diego police.
It happened just before 8 p.m. at or near a residence between Logan and National Avenues, between South 30th and South 31st streets, said Officer Robert Heims.
Many people called 911 after the shooting, including people who were with the victim, Himes said. The shooter may also have called 911.
Police at the scene said the victim was shot in the elbow, Himes said. At least one person was arrested in connection with the shooting.
According to the emergency traffic, the perpetrator told a police dispatcher that he shot someone who was trying to break into his house. Other callers reported that a member of their family had been shot.
Police at the scene were trying to determine what happened, Himes said. The severity of the gunshot wound was not immediately known and no other details were immediately available.
