Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Shiny Tyrantrum Event Is Ending Soon

Sword and Shield players have more chances to catch Fossil Pokemon like Aurorus and Tyrantrum through March 27th.

A new event is now underway in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Through March 27th, players will have more chances to encounter prehistoric Pokémon in Max Raids, including Shiny Tyrantrum.

Throughout the event, Pokémon revived from fossils – including Carracosta, Archaeops, and Aurorus – will appear more frequently in Max Raid Dens in the Wild Area, Isle of Armor, and Crown Tundra. As mentioned, you also have a chance to find a Shiny Tyrantrum in five star raids, although it will be much rarer.

The prehistoric Pokemon event runs until 4:59 p.m. PT on March 27th.

Before the Event Pokémon will appear in your game, you must first upgrade your Max Raid Dens. You can either do this by connecting your game online or by opening and selecting the Mystery Gift menu Get the Wild Area News.

The prehistoric Pokémon event comes just days after Sword and Shield’s March International Challenge online competition. The April International Challenge follows April 15-17, and everyone who plays at least three matches during the event will get one gleaming Galarian Moltres.
