A light plane with two people crashed in its vicinity Oceanside Municipal Airport Thursday.
The single-engine Cessna 208B Caravan got off at about 12:45 p.m. It crashed just before the runway on the east side of the general aviation airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration and the Oceanside Police Department.
Officials called for ambulances for the occupants of the plane, one of whom had to be released from its damaged fuselage.
NBC 7 reported that the plane belongs to GoJump Oceanside, which offers skydiving services. Details of their condition and the conditions that led to the crash were not immediately available.
