Pedestrian seriously injured in Mountain View hit-and-run

A 38-year-old man was seriously injured Friday night in Mountain View when a hit-and-run vehicle hit him, San Diego police said.

Police received a report at 11:48 p.m. of a pedestrian injured by a vehicle on Imperial Avenue at South 40th Street, according to Officer D. O’Brien. Officers said the man was walking east in one lane of traffic when a white, newer model Chevrolet Camaro traveling in the same direction hit him and drove off.

Emergency crews took the man to a hospital with injuries that appeared serious but not life-threatening, O’Brien said.

Police did not provide a description of the person driving the Camaro.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 888-580-8477.
