[LAUGHTER] SOLEDAD: I WANT TO TAKE A LITTLE TO SAY HOW MUCH THANK YOU TO ALL THE GUESTS WHO PRESENT TO US FOR THIS PERFORMANCE. BRYAN STEVENSON, AUTHOR OF “JUST MERCY,” AND FOUNDER OF THE EQUAL JUSTICE INITIATIVE, IS ALSO COMING. ALSO FORWARD, TARANA BURKE, FOUNDER OF MY MOVEMENT, ALSO. AND LATER, A LOOK AT THE LIFE OF CONCENTRATOR JOHN LOUIS. SOME LEADERS LISTEN TO THIS VOICE IN THEM WHICH MOVE THEM IN ACTION AS THE RESULT OF AN INJURY. AN EXPERIENCE THAT WRITTEN THEM IN THE CENTER OF NATIONAL ATTENTION – A LIGHT THAT DID NOT ASK R.FO AS A HIGH SCHOOL, X GONZALEZ, FORMER KNOWLEDGE AS MAEM GONVED, ID X GONZALEZ, HAPPY TO SEE YOU. THANK YOU FOR TALKING TO HER. X: I UNDERSTAND THAT EVERYONE HAD THIS CONSTRUCTION OF MYSELF IN THEIR BRAIN AND THIS CONSTRUCTION WAS VERY MUCH AS A RACE. AND I REALLY DIDN’T LIKE THE NAME THAT WAS MY NOW IS NOT MY NOW. SOLEDAD: FOUR YEARS AGO, YOU JUST REMEMBER THAT A SAD OF SAD TEENAGERS ARE PLANNING A MARCH FOR OUR LIFE. LI KE, IT LOOKS JUST CRAZY TO ME. WHAT WAS WHAT MADE ALL OF YOU TO CREATE SUCH A STRONG MOVEMENT AT THE LOWEST MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE? X: I THINK HE WAS DEFINITELY INSPIRED BY SADNESS AND ANGER, BUT WITH TIME, WE REALLY FIND THEMSELVES MOTIVATED BY LOVE AND LOVE. AND THE REALLY SACRED KNOWLEDGE THAT WHAT WE DID WAS RIGHT. AT THE END OF THE DAY, LIKE THE UNIVERSE IS ON THE SIDE OF JUSTICE, AND WE ARE WAITING FOR THAT, YOU KNOW. THEY ALWAYS TELL US, BECOME THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD. Once we started, it became REALLY EASY TO SEE THAT THERE WAS NO REAL DEFICIENCY IN THE POSITION. WHAT IS THE WORST THAT CAN HAPPEN? WOULD I DIE? I COULD DIE ANYONE [EXPLEVE]WHAT TIME. WHY NOT TRY TO MAKE CHANGE AND PREVENT OTHER PEOPLE TO DIE? SOLEDAD: HOW DO YOU FEEL AS AN ACTIVIST FOR THE STATE OF THE WORLD AT THIS MOMENT? X: FRIEND, THIS COUNTRY THINGS ARE REALLY BAD AND IT IS REALLY DIFFICULT TO WATCH. SOLEDAD: TELL ME ABOUT THE METHODS AND CHANGES THAT YOU MAKE AS A YOUNG ACTIVIST AND WHAT YOU FIND WORK AND WHAT NOT. X: I HAVE TO SAY I THINK THE COURSES ARE SO CLASSIC. IT IS THE TESTED AND TRUE VERSION OF ACTIVISM, DO YOU KNOW? IT IS LIKE ONE OF THE PRIMARY ST RUCTURES. SO HOW COULD YOU CLAIM TT? IT’S SO GOOD FORM. IT’S A WAY TO PHYSICALLY SHOW YOUR NUMBERS IN SUPPORT OR SOMETHING. IT IS A WAY TO BE POSSIBLE FOR WHAT IS HAPPENING, TO MEET A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE. LEGISLATORS MAY THINK, “Oh, well, THESE PEOPLE JUST SAY THAT THEY ARE NOT READY TO DO IT OR NOT, THEY DON’T WAIT.” SO, IF YOU APPEAR, REALLY, IT REALLY SHOWS WHAT YOU ARE WAITING FOR. BUT ALSO WITH SOCIAL MEDIA AND ITEMS, IT’S A NICE DIGITAL WAY TO DO THIS. Whether or not everyone starts tweeting about something or starts posting something around each other, it’s a great way to spread the word about something other than connecting with people from other communities that one would not expect to know. and also SHOW YOUR NUMBERS. SOLEDAD: SO HOW – HOW DO YOU FIGHT AGAINST THIS SENSE OF THE DECREASE THAT CAN BE PARALLED BY PEOPLE? X: I THINK, HONESTLY, SOMETIMES, IT’S OK TO TAKE THIS STEP BACK AND TELL YOURSELF, I WILL OBSERVE IT, I THINK. BECAUSE I HAVE A LOT OF TENAK AT THAT TIME FOR ME. AND IT’S VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT IF YOU FEEL DESPAIRING, THIS HAPPENS SOMETIMES, IT’S OK. YOU ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE HAPPY ALL THE TIME. AND THERE ARE PLACES IN THE WORLD WHERE YOU BECOME ENGEGA, BUT YOU CAN CREATE A SMALL HEYID HOLE JUST TO RECOVER. SOLEDAD: WHAT SHOULD PEOPLE WANT TO DO TO SEE CHANGE AND BECOME PART OF POSITIVE CHANGE WHEN THEY DO NOT DESCRIBE THEM? X: YES, I THINK THE EASIER THINFOG LIKES THE AVERAGE PEOPLE WHO EITHER WANTS TO PARTICIPATE OR JUST WANTS TO THINK THAT I AM ETHICALLY WHATEVER. Other books in the talks about the issues that you are interested in to learn more about it, so you want to cause changes, but if you don’t know all the topics, when you try to bring about a pianic change. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THE ENTIRE FIELD BEFORE ENTRYING AND TRYING TO BEGIN TO CHANGE. YOU DON’T WANT TO FOLLOW THE FINGERS OR THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY TRIED TO MAKE THIS CHANGE. YOU LOOK AT THE COMMUNITY AROUND YOU. TRY TO MEET THE PEOPLE IN YOUR SOCIETY. SPEAK TO THE LEGISLATORS OF THE AREA. TALK TO THE PEOPLE INVOLVED. FIND THAT YOU CAN MAKE A CHANGE, EVEN IF IT’S JUST WANTING THE WEEKEND OR SOMETHING. THIS IS A GREAT JOB. THIS IS MORE THAN NOTHG. IN SOLEDAD: X GONZALEZ. THANK YOU FOR THEM
