Overwatch 2 launches its second beta for PC and console players on Tuesday. The beta begins at 2:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 a.m. PT and runs through July 18th. Registrations to attend are still open, and you can still get guaranteed access if you’re willing to spend some cash.
The next beta will be our first look at Junker Queen, a new tank heroine that first appeared on posters on the Junkertown map released in 2017. Fans have been hoping to play them ever since, and five years later we finally got our chance. The new beta also adds a new hybrid map, Paraiso. The developers created theirs Goals for the betawhich include testing server capacity and hero balance.
Overwatch 2 is the sequel to Blizzard’s class-based shooter, in which two teams of five players compete for objectives. Overwatch developers announced in June that the game would be released. That gave the game a frenetic pace, which was a welcome change from the slower, more grueling pace that has plagued Overwatch for the past several years. The free-to-play PvP element will make the game more in line with other competitive shooters like Valorant and Apex Legends.
How to sign up for the Overwatch 2 beta
Anyone can sign up for the second beta of Overwatch 2, but it’s not technically an open beta. The game will gradually add people as server capacity increases, and the first major wave of beta access will happen on July 5th, according to the report Beta FAQ Page. Even if you were in the previous beta, you will need to log in again.
How to log in:
1. Go to Overwatch 2 Beta website.
2. Sign in to your Blizzard account at the top right.
3. Select your platform (and region for PlayStation players) at the bottom of the Overwatch 2 Beta page.
4. Then strike Request beta access.
If you want guaranteed beta access on June 28th, you can purchase the Watchpoint package ($40). In addition to beta access on day one, you’ll also get two legendary character skins, a unique player icon, and enough digital currency to purchase the first two Battle Passes.
How do I download the Overwatch 2 Beta?
Blizzard hasn’t released any details on how to download the second beta, but it should follow the same process as the first beta. Here’s how it worked:

Junker Queen Abilities
The new beta finally gives fans the chance to play as Junker Queen, a heroine we’ve all been looking forward to and/or thirst for since she was first teased on the Junkertown map. Here’s what we know about Junker Queen’s abilities from the Overwatch Twitter account:
New hybrid map: Paraiso
The beta also adds Paraiso, a new hybrid map that explores Lucio’s home, including the DJ’s Clube Sinestesia. As with all hybrid maps, players begin by attacking or defending a control point, and if the attackers are successful, players spend the rest of the map attacking or defending a cargo.
