One person injured in a collision with multiple vehicles during a voltage drop in Victorville-VVNG.com

Victorville, California (VVNG.com) —Collisions of multiple vehicles in Victorville may have caused the driver to experience a voltage drop due to a sandstorm.

It happened along the Mojave Drive between the roads of Onyx and Topaz around 11:38 am on Monday, October 25th.

According to the sheriff, two vehicles collided, one was pulled over the shoulder and another was hit from behind. A few other vehicles traveling in the area were also involved and suffered minor damage.

One was moderately injured and a firefighter in Victorville wanted to send the patient to a trauma center, but the helicopter had to refuse the flight due to the weather.

From time to time, gusts picked up a lot of dirt and caused a low voltage condition. According to the National Weather Service, a wind of 47 mph was reported at Victorville Airport at 9:45 am.

A Victorville police officer temporarily blocked traffic in both directions while the two damaged vehicles were being towed.
