Oklahoma inmate on the run after stealing officer’s car

Authorities are looking for prisoners who have stolen a detention center employee’s car and escaped from Oklahoma County Detention Center. According to the detention center, 41-year-old Nicholas Reach was a trustee who worked in the maintenance department. At 8:10 pm on Wednesday, Reach stole a wireless remote control (opening the backgate) from the duty belt of detention center personnel. He also took out the policeman’s car key from the book bag. Reach walked through the maintenance parking lot, opened the gate, found a car in the detention center, and left the prison parking lot, detention center officials said. Reach was last seen driving a red 2008 Honda Civic. All windows of the vehicle are colored except the windows on the driver’s side. Officials said he may be wearing a black maintenance T-shirt with the “OCDC” logo. Nicholas Reach was imprisoned on May 29 on several charges, including two robbers and false declarations to a pawnshop. He was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Oklahoma Corrections Bureau. If you have the information, we recommend calling 911.
