Ohio man on vacation dies after diving in Lake Tahoe

An Ohio man on vacation in California died after experiencing a medical event while diving on Lake Tahoe on Saturday, according to the El Dorado County Security Office and his family. Jack Bowling, 40, died just off Baldwin Beach in South Lake Tahoe after a scuba diving accident, his family told WLWT. Originally from Fairfield, Bowling was on vacation with his wife and son. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office said it was called in to support the possibility of drowning at around 12:14 pm. I fastened my belt under about 10 feet of water and experienced “some kind of pain”. Others pulled him out of the water and fire, and medical personnel attempted CPR. The victim was taken to Burton Memorial Hospital and later sentenced to death. “The family has been devastated by this tragic and unexpected death of their most beloved husband, dad, son, brother (and) uncle,” said part of a statement from Bowling’s wife, Monica Bowling.
