Fallen tree kills child in California storm

A storm that hit California knocked a redwood tree down on a house, killing a baby inside, a Sonoma County firefighter told news outlets.

A tree destabilized by wind and heavy rain, fell home Fire Chief Ron Runaldi told KRON at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at Occidental.

“When I first arrived on the scene, a desperate father came out of the house. hold a childhe was covered in debris and said, ‘My child isn’t breathing,'” Runaldi told KPIX.
