Newest Chick-fil-A in the Bay Opens Today

Chick-fil-Ais the fried chicken sandwich juggernaut, adding to the Bay Area’s ever-growing footprint.
The chain’s newest restaurant – No. 22 – opened today at the East Bay Bridge Shopping Center in Emeryville. The franchise is locally owned by entrepreneur John Hooper, who started working at Chick-fil-A at the age of 16.
Hours of operation are 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM Monday through Saturday.
Returning to the spring menu is the seasonal watermelon mint lemonade. From there, three new drinks were born: Watermelon Mint Sunjoy, Watermelon Mint Frosted Lemonade, and Watermelon Mint Iced Tea.
Since 2019, Chick-fil-A has offered antibiotic-free chicken in all of its stores in the United States.
That year, the chain also announced a new charitable donation policy focused on giving to nonprofits that work with children in the areas of education, homelessness and hunger. fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America and the funds will be distributed regionally. The company also announced plans to donate her $15,000 to the Emeryville Civic Assistance Program and surplus food to the Berkeley Food & Housing Project.
