One of Sacramento’s top rated restaurants is planning a move next year and will move to the city.

Bounty Hunter’s Prix Fixe Dinner Restaurant, The Kitchen Michelin stars for 2019, 2021 and again this yearwill move from 2225 Harley Way in the Arden Arcade District of Sacramento County to 915 Broadway in Land Park in 2023.

of The planned move was first reported Monday by the Sacramento Business Journaltook several years to create.

Josh Nelson, chief financial officer of Selland Family Restaurants, which operates The Kitchen, told The Sacramento Bee on Monday:

Selland Family Restaurants operates Ella Dining Room and Bar and other restaurants in Sacramento, including three Sellands Market Cafes.

restaurant group Originally planned to move The Kitchen to that address in 2015, but ended up opening Sellland’s Market Cafe there instead. The new kitchen will be located on the opposite side of the same building.

“It’s the most accessible corridor in the area,” said Nelson. “Broadway is a pretty special neighborhood.

The restaurant group plans to keep Selland’s Market Cafe open on the premises while The Kitchen relocates, he said.

The group submitted planning documents to the city in July to change the exterior and interior of the 915 Broadway property for new tenants. Those plans were approved in October, according to the. City planning application homepage.

Nelson said there were initial concerns that the space on Broadway would be too small, but with a few layout changes, about 4,000 square feet of space in the 15,000-square-foot building is sufficient.

The kitchen’s current location is about 4,200 square feet, of which about 1,000 square feet is office space, Nelson said.

The Kitchen opened in 1991 and has been in the Arden Arcade since 1998.

The Harley Way location’s lease expires in 2023, Nelson said. He expects the restaurant to remain in place until at least July.
