New Santa Ana | An inmate at Theo Lacy died of a suspected suicide


Santa Ana, Calif. (3 December 2021) – On Thursday, 2 December 2021, a prisoner in the Orange Theoracy facility died on suspicion of suicide.

The prisoner was put in prison on November 30, 2021 on charges of domestic violence.

Yesterday afternoon he found himself unresponsive in his cell. Agents and orthodontic staff attempted lifesaving measures. The prisoner was sentenced to death by a rescuer at the Theoracy facility at around 4:15 pm. There are no suspicious situations in advance.

The decedent was identified as follows: Lodi Giacomini Jr., 44, of San Juan Capistrano.

The Orange County Law Firm investigates deaths in custody. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a death review during detention. No additional information will be published at this time.
