New evacuation order issued due to strong winds and heavy rain

Heavy to moderate rainfall was forecast for the region throughout the day, though the hazard from high winds was expected to subside after Monday morning. Forecasts called for 0.5 inch to 3/4 inch of rain in San Jose and San Francisco on Monday, and as much as an inch in Walnut Creek.
