Several people jumped into action early Friday and pulled a driver from a burning sports vehicle after crashing into a tree and a house in Medford, Massachusetts. The video with the doorbell shows the SUV, driven by 28-year-old Austin Smith, heading home and crashing into the house before being engulfed in flames. The accident happened around 1 p.m. Neighbors seem to pull out the door and pull the driver out of the burning debris. Some used kitchen fire extinguishers to fight the flames. “Fortunately, it was a whole neighborhood effort,” said Bill Radochia. Smith’s mother told police her son was not seriously injured and is recovering at Mass General Hospital. He said no one has any idea what made him out of control.
