NE Fresno intersection shut down after shooting outside GB3

FRESNO, CA (KFSN) – A shooting at the GB3 car park in Northeast Fresno injured a man and sent a bullet that he threw at the popular gym.

One person was taken to hospital after being hit by a bullet.

Another bullet flew into the windshield of the Shepherd and Champlain gymnasium, shattering the windshield and entering the nursery area.

However, this part of the gym had been closed for months and no one was inside.

Police say that around 3 pm, they were marked on the street by a person who said that there was an incident in the GB3 parking lot.

They located a vehicle at the intersection outside the parking lot with a man who had been shot in the upper part of his body.

The policeman spoke to him, with witnesses in the parking lot and looked at the surveillance video and found that three vehicles were involved.

An ABC30 crew at the scene saw a black sedan in the heavily damaged car park.

The Champlain and Shepherd intersection will be closed for several hours.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
