Multiple dogs found in garbage bag at Fresno County park

Fresno, CA (KFSN)-Puppies are fighting for their lives in a veterinary clinic.

Lawmakers found him in a zippered bag with six other Rottweilers in a park in Fresno County early Monday morning.

“It’s always painful when we get those calls,” says Brenda Mitchell, President of Fresno Humane Animal Services. “There is anything better than this.”

Veterinarians call the puppy “Tiny” and say he’s working hard to help him recover, but it’s too late for others.

“There were two people still alive, but unfortunately the woman died on the way,” Mitchell said.

Three-month-old puppies are also fighting the deadly dog virus.

“Parvo is very painful,” Mitchell said. “It’s like the worst flu you could have imagined, and having a brother in a dead bag can’t be worse for me.”

Thanks to the donation, a 24/7 pet veterinarian can provide him with the care he needs.

Parvo treatment can be performed anywhere between $ 1,500 and 6,000%.

“Parvo is very expensive to treat in a hospital environment, partly because it is highly contagious,” says Mitchell. “They must devote their full staff to the care of Parvo puppies.”
