Mountain lion trapped inside classroom at Pescadero High School; students and staff safe, authorities say

PESCADERO, California (KGO) – A mountain lion is in a classroom at Pescadero High School, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

A guard met the mountain lion inside the classroom at 8:25 a.m., officials say. There were no students inside.

The big cat is restrained until it is safely removed from those responsible for wildlife.

Students and staff are safe, according to the sheriff’s office.
