Motorcyclist transported by plane after collision with semi-trailer in Lucerne Valley – VVNG.com

LUCERNE VALLEY, California (VVNG.com) – A motorcyclist injured after a collision with a semi-trailer in the Lucerne Valley was transferred by plane to the trauma center.

The accident was reported at 14:35, May 5, 2022, on Camp Rock and Rabbit Springs Road.

According to records of the California Highway Patrol incident, a Yamaha motorcycle was driven carelessly before the collision. The rider was reportedly a 75-year-old man who was awake and breathing. He suffered an arm injury and was bleeding profusely.

San Bernardino County firefighters arrived on the scene and asked for a helicopter to land in Pioneer Park and transport the rider to the trauma center.

The H285 helicopter accepted the flight and then transported the patient to Loma Linda Medical Center.

The driver of the semi-trailer remained on the scene.

Additional information will be updated as soon as it becomes available, and the cause of the accident is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
