More than $520,000 of narcotics seized at Border Patrol checkpoint near Murrieta –

MOURIETA (CNS) – A Mexican citizen was handed over to his sheriff deputies in Riverside after the discovery of drugs worth more than half a million dollars, authorities said on Thursday.

San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents discovered the drugs in a 2012 Ford Focus during a vehicle stop near the Temecula Border Patrol checkpoint around 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to the agency.

The investigation yielded seven packs of heroin – worth a total of ,6 20.6 with an estimated value of $ 280,500 – and eight packs of fentanyl, also weighing ιβ 20 and worth about $ 240,000.

The unknown driver of the Ford Focus was arrested and dragged to the office of the sheriff of Riverside County and the vehicle was confiscated by the Border Patrol.
