Michael Quigley Named Jury President of 26th Annual American Black Film Festival – Los Angeles Sentinel | Los Angeles Sentinel

Michael Quigley, executive vice president of Content Acquisitions TNT, TBS, truTV, HBO and HBO Max at WarnerMedia, will serve as president of the jury for the 2022 American Black Film Festival (ABFF). ABFF will return to Miami Beach for live events from June 15 to 19, followed by online events from June 20 to 30 on its specially developed online platform ABFF PLAY.

As chairman of the jury, Quigley will help the festival expand its jury and oversee a variety of film and television content. As part of its independent film program, ABFF includes competition sections, short films, short stories, documentaries and web series.

“I am honored to serve as president of the jury of this year’s ABFF, the largest film festival to discover and protect black and brown directors,” Quigley said.

“Some of the most talented directors of our time, as well as some of the most impressive stories, have gone through ABFF and continued to create breakthrough series and films that provoke dialogue on important social issues and celebrate our rich diversity and history.”

As Vice President of Content Acquisitions, Quigley is responsible for purchasing and licensing movie and TV titles from WarnerMedia’s extensive library, as well as third-party partners, building a huge supply of content across the company’s many platforms.
