Marmot Fire: Containment on Tulare County wildfire jumps to 75%

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) — The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has downgraded an evacuation warning due to a fire.

The Marmot Fire started just before 2 a.m. Tuesday southeast of Three Rivers and has grown to 127 acres, according to CAL FIRE. From Thursday morning it is reduced by 75%.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has lifted evacuation warnings for the area of ​​South Fork Drive, including Cinnamon Canyon Drive to the entrance to the national park.

However, the road remains closed near Grouse Valley for fire safety and equipment movement.
