Man shot while sitting in front yard of central Fresno home, police say

FRESNO, California (KFSN) – A man was taken to hospital after police said he was shot while sitting in the front yard of his home in downtown Fresno on Monday night.

Fresno police received a four-round shot of ShotSpotter near Thomas & Bond shortly after 7 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a man in his 40s with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

The man was transported to the Regional Medical Center and was rushed to the operating room.

Police say the victim was sitting in a chair in the front yard of his home when the suspect approached him and started firing.

No information has been provided about the victim.
