A release from the prosecutor’s office said Ronald Sei had been sentenced to life in prison without parole. He was sentenced on April 20 for the first-degree murder of Amber Clark, who was a branch supervisor for the North Natomas Library.

As Clark left work on December 11, 2018, Sei was waiting in his car. He quickly got out of his car when she passed him, following Clark in her car, opened the side driver’s door and shot her 11 times.

After Seay was arrested the next day, investigators found two pistols in his car and confirmed that the 11 cartridges found at the scene were fired from one of the two pistols.

About two years later, Clark’s family sued the Sacramento Police Department and the prosecutor’s office believes that the services concealed information.

In the lawsuit, the family said two months before the shooting, Sei had been banned from the library after he had some aggressive behavior towards the library staff and the customers.
