Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon said today a man pleaded guilty to the murder of Jacqueline Avant and tried to kill her bodyguard during a robbery at her home in Beverly Hills in December. “This crime continues to shock the conscience. “Ms. Avant’s death was a tragic loss felt by our entire community,” said Gascon County Attorney. “In this case, the accused is threatened with 170 years in prison and does not meet the conditions for parole in old age. Our Victim Services Bureau will continue to liaise with family and their representatives to offer trauma-aware services. ” Ariel Maynor (born 2/1/92) openly pleaded for one charge of first-degree murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a criminal, and two charges of burglary for first-degree murder in a home with people present. . He also admitted to using a long-barreled assault pistol during the crimes. Manner is scheduled to be convicted on March 30 in W31 Division of the Los Angeles County Supreme Court, a branch of the airport. The judge has the right to sentence him to 170 years in prison. On December 1, Manner stormed the Avant home in Beverly Hills and fatally shot the 81-year-old victim. He also shot at a security guard who was not injured. Later that night, it was alleged that Manner shot himself accidentally while breaking into a house in the Hollywood Hills, prosecutors said. Case SA105722 is being investigated by the Beverly Hills Police Department.
