VICTORVILLE, California (VVNG.com) – A man who was shot and killed on Forrest Avenue in Victorville has been identified Robert MontoyaA 34-year-old passerby, officials said.
VVNG reported on the murder investigation when it happened on Thursday, March 31, 2022, near Avalon Park in block 16400 Forrest Avenue.
Sheriff’s officials said the deputies reacted after the person who reported called an ambulance and said he heard gunshots in front of his residence and noticed a man down the driveway.
When deputies arrived, they located Montoya with multiple gunshot wounds and despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead on the spot.
Deputies arrived and found the victim, identified as Robert Montoya, with multiple gunshot wounds.
Detectives from the Specialized Investigation Department reacted – details about the murders and took over the investigation.
The sheriff’s department said no additional information was available at this time and that details about the suspect or suspects were unknown.
