Man Dressed in Black Robs Arco Station in Sabre Springs Early Saturday

A man robbed an Arco station at gunpoint in San Diego’s Saber Springs district, police said Saturday.

Officers from San Diego Police Department were called at 12:09 p.m. at Saber Springs Parkway block 12600 where they learned that a man dressed in black entered the Arco, pointed a pistol at the clerk, walked behind the counter and demanded cash, Officer John Buttle said.

After the officer complied, the suspect fled on foot north through the parking lot.

The employee was not injured, Battle said.

Detectives from the department’s robbery unit are investigating the incident and anyone with information about it was asked to call 619-531-2299 or the San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
