A fire broke out inside a Walmart in Harahan, Louisiana on Monday. It’s about 20 minutes from New Orleans. Firefighters said the fire broke out around 9:44 p.m. The cause of the fire is unknown. The video shows the flames firing from a merchandise shelf as shoppers rush for help. A second fire was also reported on Tuesday morning due to electrical problems caused by water on the ground of Monday’s fire, firefighters said. Walmart is closed on Tuesday. Walmart issued the following statement on the closure: “As an essential store for our community, our goal is to assess any damage and reopen our Harahan store as soon as possible. In the meantime, we’re working with our Metairie Location at 8912 Veterans Memorial Boulevard to temporarily handle our customers ‘purchasing needs. “The pharmacy collection at our Harahan store is open to customers’ prescriptions.
