The Los Angeles Sparks announced today that the team has agreed to a mutual divorce with center Liz Cambage.

“We support Liz Cambage’s decision to terminate her contract with the organization,” said Sparks managing partner Eric Holloman. “We want the best for Liz and have agreed to part ways amicably. The Sparks remain excited about our core group and are focused on our pursuit of a playoff spot in 2022.”

Cambage, 30, was originally signed by the Sparks on Feb. 15 as a free agent. The 6-foot-9 center averaged 13.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 25 games this season.

The Sparks next game is Thursday, July 28th on the road against the Phoenix Mercury at 7:00 PM PT on CBS Sports Network.
