Los Angeles — Long Beach Unified School District and former safety officer sued by mother on Wednesday An 18-year-old woman who was shot dead, She was reportedly a passenger in a car who fled him in September.

Mona Rodriguez’s mother, Manuela Sahagun, filed a complaint with the Los Angeles County High Court alleging tort, excessive power, negligence, and civil rights infringement. She seeks punitive damages against Gonzales in addition to unspecified compensatory damages against the district and former police officer Eddie Gonzalez.

An LBUSD spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

According to police, Rodriguez was a passenger in a car driven by Rafel Choudhry near Spring Street and Palo Verde Avenue near Millican High School around 3 pm on September 27.

The car was kicked out of the quarrel when Gonzales approached the car and allegedly fired at it while the driver was pulling it away, officials said.

Rodriguez continued to live until October 5, when a lawyer in her family said her organs were donated and saved five lives. On October 6, LBUSD announced that 51-year-old Gonzales had been dismissed for violating the district’s policy on the use of force. He was charged with murder in late October and pleaded not guilty on Wednesday.

The proceedings allege that Gonzales did not go through the probationary period when he tried to be hired by the police stations in Los Alamitos and Sierra Madre, but was still hired by LBUSD and exacerbated the problem by training him negligently. ..

The lawsuit said Sahagun lost the affection, dating, comfort and affection he had gained from his daughter.
