Long Beach 2×4 LEGO Day on April 2 – Press Telegram

The Long Beach version of LEGO 2X4 World Day on April 2nd is almost covered, but there are still some seats available.

The 2X4 refers to one of the types of LEGO blocks, which fans use to build both small and large structures. Day 2X4 originated in Long Beach and has since spread to Peru, Greece, Australia and Romania.

The headquarters of LEGO and other creative projects in Long Beach is Brickersville, Shoreline Village. The group has a number of activities for children and adults. Go to Brickersville.com.

Organizers recommend that participants have between 25 and 50 LEGO 2X4 bricks available as well as a box of mixed bricks. Sessions are free. RSVP to brickersville@gmail.com or 562-225-9589.

Long Beach Global LEGO 2X4 Day will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (April 2). It’s primarily a virtual event, but there will be an in-person option at The City of STEM event at the Columbia Memorial Space Center, 12400 Columbia Way in Downey.
